This segment of the filming, a series of close-up shots, must have taken about 45 minutes to do. It felt like 3 hours. It required the horses to stand stock-still and in the same relative position for all that time. Alistair was amazed that there was no fidgeting about or trying to kick or bite each other - the riders that is, not the horses.
