To get to the nearest town, which is Dalbeattie, you can use the RAC's route planner on www.rac.co.uk/. This will guide you between any two points by showing you a very simplified map or, better still, giving you a description of the route to take. |

If you are coming from Castle Douglas, take the A745 heading for Dalbeattie. The slip road is after a series of bends, the last one being 90-degrees with a safety barrier on its left-hand side. The slip road is on the left just after this. The turn is very tight and you are probably better to carry on down the hill, turn in the quarry yard on the left of the road and come back up the hill again. |
